What next?
Attention everybody: Safe Places are now Safe Spaces. Please update your vocabulary, signage, emergency maps, emotional support terminology, and any outdated merch accordingly.
Apparently, somewhere along the way, a place became a space. Was there paperwork? A committee meeting? A ribbon-cutting ceremony? Nobody told us. But we’re embracing the change with the Safe Places Are Now Safe Spaces collection—a mildly ridiculous celebration of changing language, changing times, and trying desperately to keep up with whatever we’re supposed to call things this week.
We’ve put it on T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, hats, beanies, mugs, stickers, posters, pillows, totes, backpacks and a whole bunch of other stuff. Because nothing says “I feel safe here” quite like announcing it across your chest, coffee cup, laptop and living room wall.
Wear it somewhere safe. Put it somewhere spacious. Give it to that friend who corrects everybody’s terminology before they’ve even finished the sentence.
Is your bedroom a safe place or a safe space? What about your couch? Your garage? That suspicious corner booth at your favorite diner?
We don’t make the rules. We just make the merch.
