Description
This was originally painted in 2008 for my college painting class. I made some improvements to it around 2018. It shows a giraffe overlooking a sunset in Africa and has typography from news articles embedded in the paint. There’s still room for improvement since I changed the style of it during production. It was originally supposed to be made in a really rough style that didn’t consider the anatomy of the animal. Once I had done the first pass, I realized I wanted the form to be more realistic, so I took it that direction. Still need to clean up some areas. Probably put another day or two of work into it once it’s sold. This isn’t part of a collection, so I actually want to free up some space and sell it soon. If you’d like to make a bid, let me know.
